Aleksandrija Ajduković

Fashion (Đukić Anđa i Ćosić Darinka), 2004, digital print, 120x180 cm

By using grannies as mannequins, the artist is creating an ironic inversion of the contemporary postulates of female beauty, deeply rooted in the ideal of youth.
This work is a critique of society, which generates the elusive aesthetic ideals, and the global consumer system, which propagates uniformity and discriminates differences.
