Branislav Nikolić does not refer in his works to memories or something from his personal experience. The starting point of his art lies in real objects he is collecting, recording and modifying.
Those are everyday objects that gain the status of aesthetic objects due to their being isolated and relocated from their usual context. They are altogether heroes of our time; they are products of consumer culture.
Branislav Nikolić born in Šabac in 1970. Graduated from the Art Academy, Department of Painting in Novi Sad. Completed postgraduate studies at the Dutch Art Institute in the Netherlands. Lives and works in Belgrade and Šabac.
