The fireworks of colours, forms and signs in Dragana’s paintings bring us to an almost forgotten dimension. The drawing, on which the artist insists, plays a very important part in the formation of the visual unity. It is, as in the case of Surrealists, totally “automatic” and has the function of recording the unexplored areas of the unconscious.
Dragana B. Stevanović, born 1957 in Belgrade. She got her BA and MA from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, department of sketching, the class of Prof. Branka Janković Knežević, in 2005. She works as an Assistant for the subject Sketching with Technology, at the University of Arts in Novi Sad.
