Gabriel Glid

Mini Bar - Organic, 2001/2007, glass, wood, brandy, rubber, 86x60x43 cm

Glid’s sculptures are characterised by figuration that looks for its forms in objects and experiences of daily life. Minimalist and simple forms of terracotta metal and glass, in which the artist works, already possess a certain metaphoric meaning, which he uses in order to communicate directly with the spectator.

The works are offering an image and critique of society and the artist’s environment, often unaware of its own illusions and faults.
