By using documentary photographs of abandoned villages in Serbia as templates for his works, the artist paints rundown and long deserted houses and objects that appear like set designs for film shots.

An almost metaphysical emptiness of space, uncovered elements of architecture and a play of light and shade constitute a ‘filmic’ visual language of his paintings.
