Hana Rajković

Camps I, 2003, graphite pencil on paper, 50x70 cm
With the combination of personal experiences from her childhood and scenes from actual daily life, Hana is showing the world deprived of human presence. It is the objects that are alive in her fragile drawings; they are moving, they have the traits of human beings, and the situations they are representing point at trivialities of urban life, absurdities of the world in which the objects and people have reached such level of interrelatedness that they have even swapped their roles.

Walking through Hana’s urban landscapes, the observer has a chance to encounter the suppressed aspects of urban (non) life.
