Jelena Davičo
Jelena Davičo, Balerinas, 2008, instalation, 30x30x25 cm
Soft and subtle installation made in the style of one time popular music boxes centers around the fragile figure of a ballerina. The box is a stage on which ballerina performs her dance but also a small intimate world of its own. A subtle work full of symbolism and tenderness brings us back in time.
Jelena Davičo was born in 1968 in Belgrade, where she currently lives and works. She graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts, Department of Ceramics and Glass, in 1992.
