The works from the series From the Music Box represent a way of thinking about the need for change, and a search for new frameworks of functioning for contemporary art. The artist is showing pianos and music boxes, which are stylishly painted, embroidered, and collaged on some industrial material. She is initiating the viewer into her intimate female world.
Milica Crnobrnja Vukadinović, born 1975 in Belgrade. Graduated conservation and restoration from the Serbian Orthodox Church Academy. Received her BA and MA from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Department of Painting. Two-time winner of the “Ljubica Cuca Sokić” award for intimate small format.
