The body of work of this legendary Belgrade artist, who has recently died, consists of collages assembled from photographs taken in street photo booths, and masks, which he made. These collages make the collection of the artist’s various experiences, the situations and characters he has encountered in the street and with whom he has worked. Known as the “Good Spirit of Belgrade”, always smiling and cheerful, Mikrob has always transmitted his energy to his masks and collages.

 

Saša Marković, born 1959 in Belgrade. Studied Yugoslav art and Serbo-Croatian language in Belgrade. Multimedia artist and performer. Journalist writes for many newspapers and authors radio programs.
